My first post (as you can see!)

Hello! I decided to start a blog and I am very excited about it! My mind was working overtime in the last few months trying to come up with some ideas of what I want to do next in my life, and blogging seemed like a pretty good idea. Well, time will tell if this idea was good or not, but so far I have been really enjoying the process. I’ve read dozens of articles on how to start a blog, watched many tutorials, and listened to various podcasts about starting and running a blog. So, now it is time to put all this knowledge into practice.

I learned so much in the last few weeks that now I understand why blogging is a full time job for many people. I honestly think that universities should start offering a degree in blogging as there is a lot involved – marketing, communication, writing, web design, photography, etc. It is really overwhelming but it is so exciting at the same time!

I heard from a few people in my life that my writing is way better than my speaking, and I tend to agree with them. It is easier for me to express my thoughts and ideas in writing rather than saying them out loud; so blogging should be perfect for me. And it is also supposed to be therapeutic.

Despite some personal struggles I am going through, I want my blog to have some positive vibe. Thus, I am planning to focus on things I love and that bring me joy and happiness – like cooking and traveling; and things I would like to get better at and learn more about – like personal finance, personal development, and photography. I may occasionally dive into daily struggles, but I promise not to linger for too long over them. Some of my struggles made me become very interested in fertility, and I want to share my knowledge with other women, so you will see a number of posts touching this topic. I will share my goals and plans with you, and this should keep me on track and accountable, and maybe you will learn something too along the way!

If you have read this far, here is a bit more about me. I just turned 39. I have been trying to become a mom for quite a while, but I am still hopeful it will happen one day! And when it does, I will most likely be blogging a lot about that new chapter of my life! I have been struggling to get out of debt for a few years already, since 2014 to be exact. That was when I bought and renovated a townhouse. Some bad financial planning or lack thereof was involved in that decision! I am way better now than I was 2-3 years ago as I have been reading a lot of books written by very smart people. But it has been a long and stressful journey. And I am very excited to share what I have learned with you!
